ABOUT

A London based journalist and content creator, with a keen eye towards fashion, editorial and writing.

Currently an English Content Writer with Farfetch, Maisie has quickly discovered a deep interest and appreciation towards working for a remarkable luxury platform. With a strong sense of creative freedom and responsibility, her role here lies simply under the motto “Do what’s never been done”. From producing top-quality product descriptions across all aspects of the online platform to creating guides and tools to educate peers, day to day jobs are never the same. Working collaboratively with the entirety of Farfetch across the globe has given Maisie the experience of being a part of a large scale team, all passionate towards a mutual love of fashion.

Previously working for Harrods as a Junior Online Copywriter, Maisie found a passion towards creating online content for luxury fashion brands. Here she was a key player towards keeping harrods.com a world-class site. Daily responsibilities included writing copy for up to 45 products a day across all areas of sale (fashion, accessories, fragrance, beauty, childrens, homeware, fine jewelry) in line with the Harrods tone of voice whilst keeping copy editorial and informative for the customer. Here she was also in charge of producing additional content for brands and product landing pages and working to resolve any product queries with trade and head office, all while keeping the live site completely spotless.

A graduate of the BA: Fashion Communication, Fashion Journalism program at Central Saint Martins University in London, Maisie’s strengths lie in luxury fashion, online content, print and digital journalism, editing, social media, and fashion events.

Maisie is the editor of the recently printed magazine and podcast series titled VOICE. VOICE is a platform that focuses on emerging student designers in universities across the United Kingdom, and the talent that is arising.

She regularly contributes to Graduate Fashion Week and Fashion Scout events in London as a writer. Working for the digital editor and the digital team, she is responsible for attending fashion shows during London Fashion Week to write show reports for the official website, as well as holding one-to-one interviews with Julien Macdonald, Henry Holland, Hilary Alexander OBE and many more designers and notable figures. She also regularly contributes writing throughout the year for the official sites.

Maisie has been featured in the 5th print issue of London based Sunday Girl Magazine – ‘Est. in 2015, we are an independent, biannual publication for girls. We champion feminism and equality and deliver a magazine for intellectual, ambitious and creative women.”
